## Inclusion rules

- Geography: Wiltshire UA + Swindon only (ceremonial Wiltshire).
- Class: Early Neolithic **causewayed enclosures** (interrupted-ditch circuits), not hillforts, henges, or cursus monuments.
- Confidence: **confirmed** = generally accepted in Oswald et al. / English Heritage corpus and/or excavated & published as such; **possible** / **uncertain** reserved for doubtful attributions (none retained in this lean pack).
- Sources preferred: Historic England NHLE, Heritage Gateway / NMR, Oswald, Barber & Dyer 2001 (*The Creation of Monuments*), Whittle et al. *Gathering Time*, peer-reviewed excavation reports.

## Caveats

- **Do not invent sites.** Casterley Camp (Upavon) is an Iron Age enclosure/hillfort and is **excluded**.
- Point locations are approximate monument centres (Heritage Gateway grid refs or published estimates). Larkhill’s centre is modelled (~NGR 414091 144275); most of that circuit remains under Larkhill Camp and is not scheduled (no NHLE at pack date).
- Parish names follow NHLE / scheduling where clear; Robin Hood’s Ball sits in the Shrewton / Figheldean SPTA area — listed here as Shrewton.
- Coordinates: British National Grid easting/northing; WGS84 lon/lat converted EPSG:27700 → EPSG:4326.
- Status is archaeological consensus, not legal designation alone (though five of six are scheduled).
